Theme: Hope, Promise, and Preparation
Overview:
This class introduces children to the voices God used to prepare the world for the Savior. Isaiah, Micah, Daniel, and John the Baptist each played a part in pointing to Jesus — the promised Redeemer. Children will learn that God’s Word is trustworthy, that His plan never changes, and that Jesus was the answer from the very beginning.
Week 1: Isaiah – The Promise of the Coming King
Scripture: Isaiah 7:14; 9:6–7; 53:1–6
Memory Verse: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” – Isaiah 9:6
Lesson Focus: Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, Isaiah prophesied that a child would come — a Savior who would rule with peace and justice.
Faith Connection: God’s promises always come true, no matter how long it takes.

Week 2: Micah – The Savior Will Be Born in Bethlehem
Scripture: Micah 5:2
Memory Verse: “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah… out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel.” – Micah 5:2
Lesson Focus: Micah told God’s people exactly where the Savior would be born — in the small town of Bethlehem.
Faith Connection: God plans every detail perfectly, even things that seem small or ordinary.

Week 3: Daniel – The Son of Man Will Reign Forever
Scripture: Daniel 7:13–14
Memory Verse: “His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away.” – Daniel 7:14
Lesson Focus: Daniel saw visions of the coming Messiah — a Son of Man who would be given everlasting power and a kingdom that would never end.
Faith Connection: Jesus is the King whose kingdom lasts forever.

Week 4: John the Baptist – Preparing the Way for Jesus
Scripture: Isaiah 40:3; Matthew 3:1–12
Memory Verse: “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.” – Matthew 3:3
Lesson Focus: John the Baptist was chosen by God to prepare the hearts of people for Jesus. He called them to repent and be ready for the Messiah.
Faith Connection: God calls each of us to help prepare others to know Jesus.
