Theme: Faith, Obedience, and God’s Promises
Overview:
This class continues the true story of life from the beginning, showing how God worked through men and women of faith. Children will learn that God’s plans never fail, even when life is hard. Through stories of Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses, they will see how obedience and trust bring blessing, and how God always keeps His word.
Week 1: Noah – God’s Promise and Protection
Scripture: Genesis 6–9
Memory Verse: “The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.” – Nahum 1:7
Lesson Focus: The world had turned to sin, but Noah walked with God. God protected Noah and his family through the flood and made a promise never to destroy the earth by water again.
Faith Connection: God cares for those who trust Him and always keeps His promises.
Activity Ideas:

Build a small “Ark Craft” using popsicle sticks or folded paper.

Rainbow Promise craft – color a rainbow and write God’s promise beneath it.
Week 2: Abraham – Trusting God’s Plan
Scripture: Genesis 12; 15; 21; 22
Memory Verse: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Lesson Focus: God called Abraham to leave his home and trust His promise to make him the father of many nations. Abraham obeyed even when he didn’t understand.
Faith Connection: Faith means trusting God’s promises even before we see them come true.
Activity Ideas:

“Starry Night Promise” – decorate black paper with star stickers to remind us of God’s promise to Abraham.

“Follow God’s Path” game – children take steps of faith across labeled “promise stones.”
Week 3: Joseph – God Turns Hard Times for Good
Scripture: Genesis 37; 39–45
Memory Verse: “All things work together for good to them that love God.” – Romans 8:28
Lesson Focus: Joseph faced betrayal, slavery, and prison, but God was with him through it all. In the end, God used Joseph to save his family and a nation.
Faith Connection: Even when life feels unfair, God is working for our good and His purpose.
Activity Ideas:

“Forgive and Feed” role play – children act out Joseph’s kindness to his brothers.
Week 4: Moses – God Rescues His People
Scripture: Exodus 2–14
Memory Verse: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” – Exodus 14:14
Lesson Focus: God called Moses to lead His people out of Egypt. Through miracles and His mighty hand, God rescued them from slavery and guided them to freedom.
Faith Connection: God delivers His people and gives us courage to follow His calling.
Activity Ideas:
